After several sweeps of these and Norton i regained some control but had to copy & paste windows.exe from my son's computer as the file no longer existed. Not responding to this fake message I used a couple of tools suggested to me (malwarebytes & hitmanpro) - this was before I read your site about not using any - as i could not access windows. After contracting an infection several days ago (possibly spyware/malware) I got a 'Microsoft Security Essentials Alert' and several other security alerts.
